RFAs/RFPs

Request for Proposals:

The Tyrrell-Washington Partnership for Children, Inc. is soliciting proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to acquire the services of a qualified contractor to implement

The Incredible Years: BASIC Parent Training Program – Early Childhood in Beaufort, Washington, and Wayne Counties.  The Incredible Years is a research-based program that is effective in reducing children's aggression and behavior problems and increasing social competence at home and at school.  It is designed to promote positive parenting strategies and to assist parents in managing children’s behavior.  This is accomplished through a 14-week training series led by two Group Leaders certified to teach this curriculum. Group Leaders must have a minimum of a B.A. degree in a human services field and have coursework and training in child development, behavior management, and group facilitation. After completing the series, parents should have gained knowledge on positive reinforcement, limit setting, non-physical discipline alternatives and problem solving strategies. Between January 2008 and May 2008, one series will be conducted in each county (Beaufort, Wayne and Washington). Between July 2008 and May 2009, 6 training series will be conducted as follows: Wayne County-3, Beaufort County-2, and Washington County-1. The winning bid would preferably include two group leaders able to serve Wayne County and two group leaders able to serve Beaufort & Washington Counties. Proposals must also include coordinating timing and location for all training sessions, purchasing refreshments, childcare, transportation, incentives, etc. and reporting results to contracting agency.   For a complete RFP Package or inquiries, please contact the issuing agency as follows:
